Estimify

SaaS for price quotes

The brief

Most people still write price quotes in a spreadsheet. That holds up until the second version: rates are typed in by hand, line items drift apart, the total stops adding up, and turning the file into something you can actually send to a client is its own chore.

This brief was my own. I wanted a tool that keeps a quote in shape and produces a PDF at the end — one you leave after ten focused minutes instead of hours spent in a spreadsheet.

The solution

Estimify builds a quote out of two things you set up once and then reuse: clients, and roles with day rates. Line items can be grouped, so a quote shows how the work is structured rather than one long column of numbers.

An estimate is also treated as a range, not a single number. Every item carries an optimistic and a pessimistic figure, and the quote keeps both all the way to the total. That is closer to how estimating actually works, and it tells the client where the risk sits.

Around that sits the part that keeps it from being a calculator: quotes are numbered like invoices (Q2026-001), move through Draft, Sent and Accepted, and export to PDF in one click. The product is in English and deliberately aims wider than developers — anyone who quotes their own work can use it.

The pricing is plain on purpose: 19 euros a month flat, five members included, cancel any time. No counting quotes, no tiers to choose between before you know what you need.

My role

Founder and sole developer: product, architecture, interface design, pricing and operations. On your own product that is both the advantage and the limit — a decision takes a minute, and nobody checks it after you.

The outcome

A finished product with onboarding, pricing and PDF export, running on Next.js and Vercel.

In this portfolio it is the piece with no brief to hide behind. What was deliberately left out of it is as visible as what went in.
